ALLISON BRYAN

FOUNDER + PRINCIPAL

Allison oversees the creative vision at Physical Space, guiding design and leading the team while managing key client relationships. She sets the company’s direction and leads business development.

  • Allison Bryan, AIA, is the founder and principal of Physical Space, formerly Open Studio Collective, an award-winning architecture and design practice. Her projects have been featured in The New York Times, Dwell, Forbes, Dezeen, and Archinect. Honored with several International Interior Design Association and American Institute of Architect awards, Allison leads residential projects as well as for commercial clients such as Nike, Kit, The Nature Conservancy, and Knot Springs and more. Her work has redefined placemaking across the West. 

    With more than 24 years of experience leading international award-winning architecture, interior architecture, and graphic design, Allison believes that conventional design thinking stifles creativity. Physical Space exists to reimagine, challenge, and problem solve to create spaces for moments that elevate human connection.

    Allison holds an undergraduate degree in graphic design from Indiana University and a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Oregon. She is an owner and developer on projects in the city of Bozeman and a licensed architect in Oregon, Montana and Wyoming, as well as a licensed contractor in Montana and a LEED-accredited professional.

GEORGIA BARNETT

ASSOCIATE PRINCIPAL

Georgia shapes the creative vision, guiding design from concept to completion. She also oversees operations, coordinating teams, clients, and vendors to deliver strong results in architecture, interiors, wayfinding, and brand.

  • Georgia Barnett is an associate and design lead at Physical Space, formerly Open Studio Collective, where she’s worked since 2015. She began her career in a design-build studio where she honed her love for details and environmental qualities within design. Georgia brings more than 14 years of design experience overseeing all phases from conception through execution and has contributed to multiple award-winning projects. She excels at finding creative solutions for clients and managing vendors, contractors, project teams, and budgets.

    Georgia is passionate about new design techniques, developing strong details and telling stories through every project. She works on all scales and functions of design: architectural, interiors, digital, wayfinding, and brand. Georgia holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture from Arizona State University and Master of Architecture from the University of Oregon.

ALEX WEBBER

ARCHITECTURAL LEAD

Alex leads the architectural process, working closely with clients and construction teams to keep the design moving forward. He aligns our creative vision with the deliverables needed for a successful build.

  • “People ignore design that ignores people.” That mantra drives Alex Webber’s approach and aspirations in design. Engaging in responsive and tactile methods, he strives to find a balance between crafted, vernacular and responsive, forward thinking design work. Raised with blue-collar Midwest roots, Alex’s childhood was surrounded by hands-on experience in construction and making his own inventions. Alex is always looking for balance in design and opportunities to weave in creative narratives from large scale urban design to the minute details of designing furniture.

    Alex graduated from Ball State University with a Bachelor of Environmental Sciences in 2014. He then completed a Master of Urban Architecture degree from the University of Oregon’s Portland campus. Alex moved to Bozeman in 2016, where he served as a project manager at a local residential firm for eight years, bringing together his various experiences and passion for environmental stewardship.

ARIELLE TOMMERUP

DESIGNER

Arielle works on projects from concept through completion, with experience spanning studies, passive design strategies, interiors, renders, and detailed documentation. Her multifaceted skills bring complex ideas to life with clarity and precision.

  • Arielle Tommerup is a Wyoming-born designer raised in Bozeman, Montana. Since joining the team in 2022, she has enjoyed exploring architecture as a process of continual discovery, intrigued by the opportunity for design to impact change, help humanity adapt, and showcase integrity at every stage of a project. 

    Arielle’s interests are in the user experience and environmental implementations of projects. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Design and a Master of Architecture degree from Montana State University. At Physical Space, she contributes to projects from conception to completion.

PARKER LACASSE

DESIGNER

Parker works on projects from concept through completion, contributing to every phase of design. She brings a thoughtful eye for detail and a collaborative approach that helps ideas take shape.

  • Parker loves the challenge of architecture, especially opportunities to design for the health and resiliency for both human and natural communities, she finds these to be the most rewarding projects. Growing up in the mountain west, she has always found inspiration in the wild landscapes that surround her. She feels fortunate to reside in Bozeman, a place where she can apply this inspiration every day to the design process.

    Before joining Physical Space, Parker worked at a local firm on educational, residential, and commercial projects throughout the community. Alongside her professional practice, she also taught first- and second-year design studios at Montana State University. She holds both a Bachelor of Environmental Design and a Master of Architecture from Montana State.

    Outside the studio, Parker can be found outside, with family and friends, and usually accompanied by a bike or a pair of skis.

PAUL TULLY

DESIGNER

Paul works on projects from concept through completion, contributing to each stage of design. He focuses on ensuring ideas are translated into thoughtful, well-executed spaces.

  • Paul is originally from Kentucky, and earned his Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Cincinnati. With a passion for the environment he moved to Montana to do trail work and fell in love with Bozeman. Driven and creative, he has a keen eye for design at all scales. Paul is currently pursuing a Master of Architecture at Montana State University.

ASHLEY GANGLE

BRAND LEAD

Ashley leads branding and environmental design, ensuring consistency across all channels. She collaborates with teams to provide art direction and oversee design from concept to completion.

  • Ashley is a graphic designer with over a decade of experience across in-house teams, creative agencies, and freelance partnerships. She has contributed to global campaigns, collaborated with national brands at an award-winning firm, and helped local businesses develop compelling visual identities.

    Since graduating from MSU with two BFAs in Graphic Design and Printmaking, Ashley has continued to expand her design expertise, working in branding, marketing, and environmental design. At Physical Space, she guides the development and execution of the evolving brand identity, ensuring a consistent presence across all channels. She also partners with clients on environmental and brand design projects, providing art direction from concept to completion to craft intentional, cohesive design experiences.

    Outside of work, Ashley is passionate about the arts and finds inspiration in nature. She enjoys mountain biking, skiing, fly fishing, and exploring the outdoors with her husband and their two dogs.
